What is Invisalign?
Invisalign treatment is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that are custom made based on molds taken of your teeth.

Invisalign aligners will gradually straighten your teeth with gentle pressure, providing a more predictable method when compared to other aligners and braces. These clear aligners are made from SmartTrack material, so they are also more comfortable and easier to put on and take off. Aligners will need to be worn for 22 hours a day, only removing them while eating, or drinking hot drinks or drinks that can stain.
Throughout your treatment you will need temporary attachments added to your teeth to assist with the adjustment. Attachments are tooth coloured bumps placed on the front surface of the teeth – the amount needed will vary depending on your treatment plan.
The number of aligners needed throughout your treatment will depend on your individual requirements, but typically the time taken with treatment is between 6 and 8 months. Invisalign can also be used as part of a wider treatment plan, such as preparation for veneers depending on your individual needs.
